ABOUT

HUSKIE is an experimental, indie pop artist from the north east of England! Taking inspiration from artists such as : Billie Eilish , AJR , Twenty One pilots and Oliver Tree;  She aims to make music that is 'catchy in a weird way' . HUSKIE is kicking off her solo career, releasing her debut single 'Drink one more' , set to release August 1st '25. However, HUSKIE is not new to the music scene....

From late 2022, HUSKIE was a vocalist in the prog rock band WHTS TMRW, where she played in many venues across the north east, recorded multiple singles and wrote many lyrics. As well as this, she also took on the role of social media manager with a bit of help from co-vocalist Elshe and landed the band many gigs and opportunities throughout the years. This includes: making merch, cover art and booking professional photographers for the times she couldn’t be behind the camera herself ! Due to the band breaking up in July 2025, HUSKIE is more motivated than ever to get her sound out there!

HUSKIE aims to create relatable music that is ‘catchy in a weird way’, implementing unique and unconventional sounds and a range of vocal techniques into her music.

Writing lyrics based off her real life struggles, feelings and accomplishments, HUSKIE aims to inspire young women to be themselves and to express their flaws! Striving for that real authentic sound, HUSKIE creates all of her music herself with the odd exception to drum loops and sound effects. Not only this, with a little help from her partner, Harvey, HUSKIE creates all of her content in her spare time and at home, Keeping to her fiery theme of Yellow with accents of red and orange.

Growing up in the North East of England, HUSKIE has had her hardships, from relentless bullying, to poverty and mental illness, HUSKIE faced it all.  The singer songwriter was raised by her single father, John, alongside her older brother Kieron.  In 2015, HUSKIE lost her grandfather, Dave, resulting in her grandmother, Eileen, moving to live with the family and for the next ten years the family grew stronger and closer together. HUSKIE describes her Dad and Nanna as her biggest fans, as they supported her unconditionally in her music career. Unfortunately, in may 2025, close to HUSKIE’s 20th birthday, her Nanna passed away suddenly. Heartbreakingly so, this hurt HUSKIE but it also inspired the artist to not hold back, release music as a solo artist and to live in the moment in memory of her loving nanna.

HUSKIE plans to continue creating music, with aspirations of making albums, music videos and eventually go on tour, with wishes to make music that is something new yet familiar, old but unique. There is much more to come from this new artist… she’s only just starting!
